Tailor-Made Alpine Holidays Designed Around You
Mountain People is Ireland and the UK's tailor-made alpine and mountain specialist — a team of passionate alpine experts with a decade of experience designing ski, summer, and golf holidays across France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Andorra. We cover 84 ski resort destinations across five Alpine countries, 20 French Alpine summer resort destinations, and a portfolio of exceptional alpine golf courses. We don't operate set-departure group tours or fixed packages. We don't arrange flights. What we do is build every holiday from the ground up — the right resort for your group, the right accommodation for your style, transfers from your arrival airport, lift passes and equipment hire sorted in advance, and a personal call from one of our specialists to make sure every detail works exactly as it should.
Mountain People is rated 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot, and ranks among the best-rated companies in Ireland across five independent Trustpilot categories:
🏆 Best in Ski Holiday Organiser

How We Work
There are no fixed packages here. When you submit a reservation request, one of our alpine specialists calls you — at a time that suits, whether you're in Dublin, London, Manchester, or anywhere else we serve — to discuss your group, your dates, your preferences, and your budget. From there we build the holiday around you: the right resort, the right accommodation, the right combination of services. We operate late opening office hours to accommodate clients across Ireland, the UK, and every international market we serve.
Everything Mountain People arranges — accommodation, private road transfers from your arrival airport, lift passes, ski and snowboard hire at up to 45% below in-resort prices, lessons, mountain guides, and summer activity bookings — is co-ordinated through a single point of contact. No juggling multiple suppliers. No chasing confirmation emails. One call, one team, one holiday. That is the Mountain People difference.

Alpine Golf Holidays
The Alps conceal some of the finest and most scenically spectacular golf courses in Europe — and some of the least-known. Crans-Montana's Severiano Ballesteros course above the Rhône valley. The Mont d'Arbois course at Megève, designed by Henry Cotton in 1964 and played against a backdrop of Mont Blanc. Chamonix Golf Club at the foot of the Aiguilles. The Engadin Golf Club at St. Moritz, one of the highest 18-hole courses in Europe. Kitzbühel's Rolling Hills course intertwined with the KitzSki ski area. Mountain People arranges tailor-made alpine golf holidays combining world-class mountain courses with exceptional accommodation and resort transfers — the same personal service applied to golf that we deliver for skiing and summer.
Alpine Summer Holidays
The French Alps in July and August are a revelation — hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc, mountain biking in Les Gets and Morzine, via ferrata above Chamonix, lake swimming beneath the Dents du Midi, cycling the Col de la Madeleine and Alpe d'Huez, and living in the extraordinary natural environment of the high mountains at their most colourful. Mountain People arranges tailor-made summer holidays across 20 French Alpine resort destinations — the same resorts we know from winter, delivering the same expertise and personal service in the summer season.

Our Five Alpine Destinations
France
France is the world's most visited ski destination and Mountain People's most established country — 20 resort destinations covering every major French ski area. In the Three Valleys (600km), we offer Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, and Les Menuires. On the Portes du Soleil (650km), Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, and Châtel. Espace Killy is covered by dedicated Val d'Isère and Tignes pages; Paradiski by La Plagne and Les Arcs. The Grand Massif gives clients four resort choices — Flaine, Samoëns, Les Carroz, and Morillon. We also cover Chamonix-Mont Blanc, Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes, and Megève individually. The same 20 French ski resort destinations are covered for summer alpine holidays.

Austria
Austria's ski culture is in a class of its own — 18 resort destinations covering the country's greatest ski areas. The Arlberg is covered by St. Anton, Lech, and Zürs — access to 305km of the most varied ski terrain in Austria on a single pass. The Kitzbüheler Alps: Kitzbühel and the SkiWelt (Ellmau, Söll, Westendorf). The Salzburg region: Zell am See, Kaprun, and Mayrhofen in the Zillertal. The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn covers both Saalbach and Hinterglemm; Ischgl gives access to the Silvretta Arena's 239km with Switzerland. The Ötztal provides Sölden, Obergurgl, and Hochgurgl — Austria's most reliably high-altitude terrain. The Gastein valley delivers Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein.

Switzerland
Switzerland offers the Alps at their most spectacular — 22 resort destinations across the country's finest ski regions. Zermatt beneath the Matterhorn (360km with Cervinia); Verbier and the 4 Vallées (412km); St. Moritz in the Engadin; car-free Mürren and Wengen in the Jungfrau Region facing the Eiger north face; Grindelwald at the base of the Eiger Express; Davos Klosters Mountains (270km); Andermatt with the 180km Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis link; Saas-Fee and the year-round Mittelallalin glacier at 3,500m; Crans-Montana, Gstaad, Arosa, Lenzerheide, Villars, LAAX, Flims, Nendaz, Champéry, Saas-Grund, Klosters, and Engelberg individually. Swiss ski holidays are extraordinary experiences — and we know all 22 in depth.

Italy
Italian ski holidays combine world-class terrain with Italian style, culture, and the finest mountain food in the Alps — and Mountain People now covers 19 Italian resort destinations in depth. The Dolomiti Superski network (1,200km on a single pass) is the world's largest interconnected ski area, and we cover it comprehensively: the Sella Ronda circuit through Alta Badia (Corvara, San Cassiano, La Villa), Val Gardena (Selva Gardena, Ortisei, Santa Cristina), Val di Fassa (Canazei), and Arabba. Cortina d'Ampezzo — Italy's most glamorous resort, hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics — has its own dedicated page, as does the Marmolada. The Aosta Valley provides Courmayeur at the foot of Mont Blanc and La Thuile with its France connection. Cervinia connects with Zermatt across the Swiss border. Livigno, duty-free and high-altitude. Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites. The Via Lattea (400km) through Sauze d'Oulx, Sestriere, and Bardonecchia for group and ski club holidays. South Tyrol's Kronplatz (Plan de Corones), with the Messner Mountain Museum on the summit.

Andorra
Europe's most underrated skiing — Andorra sits high in the Eastern Pyrenees with 210km of skiing across Grandvalira, the Pyrenees' largest linked ski area. Soldeu and El Tarter anchor the best intermediate terrain; Pas de la Casa provides the liveliest village atmosphere; Arinsal and La Massana complete the offering. Duty-free status keeps the overall holiday cost meaningfully below Alpine equivalents. Snow reliability is aided by Grandvalira's north-facing altitude, and the resort's unbeatable value-to-quality ratio makes it specifically appealing for groups and ski clubs from Ireland and the UK who want a full week of quality skiing without the premium cost of the main Alpine destinations.
